THE SPOT is led by a handful of natives and lifers who came of age across different decades of the city and share a deep attachment to what LA hospitality has been — and a frustration with what it's become. The great rooms, late-night dives, corner bars, and industry spots that used to feel connected now happen in isolated pockets: a good room here, a solid crew there, with no thread between them. We started this to pull those threads together. We keep our names out of it because the rooms and the history are what matter, not us.
